This combination can be a very effective revitalizer. Vitamin B-12 (Cobalamin) helps to maintain a healthy nervous system, and helps in the prevention of pernicious anemia. This vitamin is mainly found in animal products, therefore, vegan vegetarians (i.e., those who do not consume any animal products) may want to supplement with B-12. B-12 is not well assimilated through the stomach and may require Calcium for its absorption. It may take up to 5 years before deficiency symptoms of this vitamin appear.
